Keita developed a passion for preventative health and wellness after working in the employee benefits arena for over 12 years. She had the opportunity to work with employers and their employees who were struggling with both chronic health conditions and terminal illness. It was then that she realized the benefits of investing in “the front end” of healthcare and finding ways to enhance healthy living, caring for our physical, emotional and mental health.
Keita has practiced yoga since 2001. She believes that yoga is a gift we give ourselves and that everyone regardless of flexibility, weight or fitness level can enjoy the many benefits yoga can provide. As a mother of two young sons she has seen the gift that the yoga philosophy has had in her own life, connecting mind, body and spirit. She enjoys the ability to connect her commitment and intention for health opportunities to her teaching and practice.
Keita received her B.A. in Behavioral Psychology from Western Michigan University and completed her 200 hour training with YogaFit in 2011. Keita welcomes individuals of all levels to her classes and believes that when we show ourselves compassion we can find success in creating a healthy body and lifestyle.
Since we were little kids, we’ve all enjoyed riding a bicycle: the freedom, the speed, and the feeling of accomplishment after a good ride. When you work at cycling, you derive many benefits from your effort. For the last three decades Scott has been riding road and mountain bikes. Since living for many years in the NW, he’s also been enjoying indoor cycling/spinning for a more condensed and social riding experience. Many people with common goals enjoy up-beat music and some hard work to help make their bodies stronger at Harbor Fit. Helping you achieve your goals in this setting is what Scott enjoys most – that and the riding!
